Las Palmas Medical Center seeks a Special Procedures Technologist to support complex imaging and interventional procedures in our acute care hospital. In this onsite role, you will prepare and position patients, operate fluoroscopy and specialized imaging equipment, and assist physicians during cardiovascular, interventional, and other special procedures. You’ll ensure radiation safety, maintain sterile technique, and accurately document care in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Perform and assist with special radiologic and interventional procedures according to physician orders and hospital protocols
Operate imaging and procedure room equipment safely, ensuring accurate image quality and radiation safety
Prepare patients for procedures, explain processes, obtain consent, and monitor condition throughout
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to deliver coordinated patient care
Maintain sterile technique, assist with contrast administration, and manage procedure supplies
Document procedures, patient information, and imaging data accurately in electronic systems
Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards in a fast-paced acute care setting
Participate in on-call coverage, shift work, and emergency procedures as needed
Support quality improvement, accreditation, and departmental performance initiatives
Engage in ongoing education and training to maintain competencies and support professional growth

Current ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
State of Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist license (or eligibility)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred or obtained within designated timeframe
Experience with fluoroscopy and interventional/special procedures equipment
Knowledge of radiation safety, sterile technique, and infection control standards
