Perform diagnostic radiographic exams according to physician orders and department protocols
Prepare, position, and educate patients to ensure comfort and safety
Operate radiologic equipment and verify image quality for accurate diagnosis
Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection control policies
Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records in the RIS/PACS
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other care team members
Monitor patients during and after procedures, responding to needs promptly
Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, reporting issues as needed
Assist with contrast administration per protocol and scope of practice
Support continuous quality improvement and departmental standards
Diagnostic radiography (X-ray)
Patient positioning and immobilization
Radiation safety and ALARA principles
Use of RIS/PACS systems
Digital imaging and image quality assessment
Anatomy and radiographic pathology recognition
Infection control and standard precautions
Contrast media procedures (within scope)
Basic life support (BLS)
Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
